The Heidelberg Laureate Forum
Requirements: Undergraduate/Pre-Master, Graduate PhD, Postdoc in mathematics and computer science or closely related fields can spend a week mingling with the greatest leaders in their fields.Benefits: Board and lodging is provided and travel grants are available. Young researchers in mathematics and computer science from all over the world can apply for one of the 200 exclusive spots to participate in the Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF), an annual networking conference. The HLF offers all accepted young researchers the unique opportunity to interact with the laureates of the most prestigious prizes in the fields of mathematics and computer science. Traditionally, the recipients of the Abel Prize, the ACM A.M. Turing Award, the ACM Prize in Computing, the Fields Medal, the IMU Abacus Medal and the Nevanlinna Prize engage in cross-generational scientific dialogue with young researchers in Heidelberg, Germany. Requirements: Undergraduate or Master’s students with a strong academic record in an accredited full-time program in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline.Benefits: The school provides accommodation and will reimburse reasonable air tickets after the event. Approximately 90 students attend the event. The students will be exposed to state-of-the-art research in computer science, with a focus on emerging trends. The students will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with internationally leading scientists from three of the foremost academic institutions in research and higher learning in the US and in Europe, and network with like-minded students from around the world. Pulse Research Fellowship
Requirements: The Pulse Research Fellowship is open to students or researchers based anywhere in the world who are interested in using state-of-the-art and/or novel Internet measurement techniques to research a specific area that contributes to upholding an open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy Internet.Benefits: The Internet Society will pay the following compensation directly to the fellow/mentor or contribute to their institution’s finances. 1) Fellow: USD 17,000 (including USD 2,000 equipment/travel support); 2) Mentor: USD 10,000 (including USD 2,000 equipment/travel support)Deadline: 12/23/2024 (ended)
The Internet Society NDSS Symposium Fellowship
Requirements: Any graduate or undergraduate student enrolled in a computer security related program at a college or university anywhere in the world.Benefits: The fellowship package includes: 1) One full registration to the NDSS Symposium; 2) Two pre-symposium webinars with the Internet Society’s fellowship team (approx. 1 hour each); 3) A follow-up webinar in mid-2025; 4) A contribution towards travel and accommodation costs, depending on your place of study.
